Creativity and the ability to imagine is a good quality of the mind; we can live in this world, and think of how to benefit others, a larger cause. Thus, if we think when it is necessary to think, that is all well and good.
However, as Meditation Master Babaji says:
“Mind always gets involved with the thoughts and becomes a chatterbox. Its imagination just now has gone out of control more, more, more than is necessary, making you to forget you are the real Self – to that extent that it has become engulfed. Your mind has become obsessed with its own imaginations. We need to bring it down to a silent level so that its attention can go to itself. That’s when you will realize who you are and how you exist as the infinity.”
~ Shiva Rudra Balayogi (Babaji)
When the mind is brought to a silent level, our attention can gradually go to the real Self that we are and we can start to experience the best peace. For that, the daily practice to silence the mind – meditation – is recommended.
